Affiliate Disclosure
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for a paid plan, we may receive a commission from that company. It costs you nothing extra.
The longer version
This site is funded by affiliate commissions. When we link to a platform such as Skool, Circle, Mighty Networks or Podia, that link may be tagged so the vendor knows the referral came from us. If you subscribe, the vendor pays us a percentage of what you pay them — in some cases, for as long as you remain a customer.
We want to be specific about what this does and does not mean.
What it does not change: the prices you pay. Affiliate links do not increase your cost. In some cases vendors offer a discount through them.
What it does not change: our numbers. Every cost figure we publish is calculated from the vendor’s own public pricing page, and you can reproduce the calculation yourself in a couple of minutes. Our arithmetic does not become more favourable to a platform because we earn from it.
What it could change, and how we guard against it: which platforms we cover, and how enthusiastically. This is a real risk in affiliate publishing and we manage it three ways:
- We publish the full method on our Methodology page so our reasoning is auditable.
- We include platforms we earn nothing from when they are relevant.
- We state plainly when a platform we do not earn from is cheaper or better suited. This comparison does exactly that where the numbers support it.
Per-article disclosure
Every article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure at the top, before the first link, in the same text size as the body copy.
No paid placement
No vendor has paid for inclusion, ranking, or favourable treatment. No vendor reviews our articles before publication. If that ever changes, this page will say so and the affected content will be labelled.
